Meet Athena — a sweet dog who just turned 2.

Though her birthday could have passed without much fanfare, Athena’s family wouldn’t dream of it.

 

For a dog like Mondu, there’s nothing better than pumpkins. The 3-year-old Lab/rottweiler mix absolutely adores the mini pumpkin his mom gave him. Mondu and his seasonal gourd are nearly inseparable. And, he wouldn’t dare eat it.

But as long as they’re together Mondu’s world is a little more complete.

 

He definitely has the Lab love of having things in his mouth and carrying things around, ” Nicolette James, Mondu’s mom, told The Dodo. “He also has a soft mouth, so he tends to be gentle with things. I gave him a pumpkin as a puppy and wanted to see if he would still like it.”

Luckily, Mondu didn’t only like it — he loved it. The grateful pup has made the pumpkin his very best friend, taking it everywhere he goes. The two even lay together in the grass.

“It has some teeth marks in it now and it’s getting a little gross,” James said. “He likes carrying it and flinging it around. He will throw it somewhere and attack it. He also just takes it and lays with it.”

The pumpkin-obsessed pup isn’t only lovable with fruits and vegetables. James said he’s the same way with everyone.

“He is very affectionate and prefers to have some part of him touching you at all times, but overall he is pretty chill,” James said. “He is also very sensitive to emotions, if you are crying he will run over from wherever he is to see what’s wrong.”

Clearly, Mondu makes a loyal sidekick. If only pumpkins remained in season year-round, he’d have it made.

The dog was born with not 1 or 2, but 3 legs missing! Despite the difficulties life threw at her, she kept fighting with her never-say-die spirit!

“Safe in Austin Rescue Ranch” was established by Jamie Wallace-Griner and is devoted to providing therapy to special needs kids through animals. Out of the 100 rescues under Jamie’s care, Halo, the good Pyrenees may be a very special dog.

 

Halo was born without developed front legs and had a deformed back leg. Her breeder hated her identity and immediately threw her phone into a box. Thankfully, Jamie found her just in time and commenced caring for the one-legged girl. The world sees the halo as a movement, but Jamie decides to protect the little survivor. After rigorous treatment and high-end plastic surgery, Halo is gradually getting ready to move around. But Jamie knew the free-spirited pooch needed something extra that might help her claim her independence.

When Halo was old enough, Jamie installed a special prosthesis for Halo. At first, she just wanted the dog to feel comfortable with unconventional limbs. But within minutes of getting her new “legs,” the brave girl stood up and ran – all on her own! What a miracle!

Today, Halo has become an important inspirational icon for those disabled children who come to rescue and receive treatment. Her spirited journey of defeating all odds through perseverance and courage imbues the youngsters with hope that each incapacitated person can survive and thrive! Halo is undoubtedly their hero! Mae the French Mastiff was found as a stray in Indiana. She was incredibly skinny with all her rib bones clearly visible. When Southern Indiana Animal Rescue came to select her up, they found that she was only 70 pounds when she should’ve been about 140. However, the rescue later learned that her weight wasn’t even her worst problem. Poor Mae was diagnosed with terminal cancer, given between 2 weeks, and a couple of months to somemeasure.

The rescuers knew that May should spend her last days comfortably. Therefore, Elizabeth Starck (Elizabeth Starck) continued to raise her. Over the past 9 years, Starck has fostered about 400 animals. She’s always determined to offer them the simplest life possible.

“I love the old ones. I really like those that just need an area to travel until it’s their time,” Starck said. “Just knowing whether or not they are with me every week or for 2 years… I hope that their time with me is wonderful for them. It changes their life hopefully.” Caring for Mae, For such an outsized dog, Mae isn’t cheap, especially when it involves food. She eats about 10 cans of food a day! So, the rescue posted on Facebook posing for food donations, and to their surprise, many of us were extremely generous.

About 800 cans of pet food were donated to the rescue. Anearly all those donations came from locations farther away like Texas, California, and even Hawaii! These amazing donations not only gave Mae enough food, but also helped many other dogs in need.also. Mae soon became very fashionable on social media. Rescuers and Stark regularly post cute photos and updates on Mae. She has many people cheering her on. She has attended some fundraisers and meet-and-greets with fans. This sweet dog gets along side all her fellow foster dogs and foster cats. She’s very curious around the cats and likes to follow them around.

A Formal Adoption Starck quickly learned that she and Mae had a especial bond. Mae is such a sweet and loving dog, and Starck knew that Mae was meant to be a neighborhood of her family. So, after fostering her for fewer than 2 months, Starck decided to adopt her.

Starck brought Mae to the courtroom, where she pledged to like and look after her. County Judge, Vicki Carmichael signed an adoption certificate, making Mae officially a member of Starck’s family. Now, Mei has a loving home to measure her remaining days. Starck doesn’t skills for much longer Mae is going to be with her, but she’s so grateful to possess such a sweet dog in her life, although it’s only for a brief period of your time .

 

UPDATE: Mae lived a cheerful life as well as her new family – but her humans always knew that their time would be short. On January 9, 2020, Mae’s mom posted the subsequent to Facebook:

“I’ve dreaded this since November 16th once I received the “it’s cancer” call. Today Mae let me know she was tired and her mission and purpose in life was fulfilled.“She shared her love of life and other people with everyone she met. She lives for food and her newly discovered cat friend. She had such a mild way about her and her calm way showed whenever she met someone new. I’m getting to miss her adorable face such a lot and I’d roll in the hay everywhere again if I could. Her nine weeks with all folks was something I never expected, but you all made it wonderful for her and myself. She deserved it and loved every minute of it. She felt all the love, from near and far. “Mae, until we meet again. Run free sweet girl, you’re one during a million.”

Meet Moo, probably the cutest ever seven-month-old dachshund puppy who has been winning the hearts of people online.

His mismatched fur makes him beauitfully unique with dark brown and black on his head, and white and black spots over the rest of his body.

His pattern makes passerby’s look twice to make sure he isn’t wearing doggy pyjamas.

Moo has what is known as piebald fur, this results in unpigmented white spots of fur appearing on his natural coat.

Wiley the Dalmatian wears his heart on his sleeve, or maybe its more like his nose!

The nearly two-year-old puppy has become internet famous for his unique heart-shaped spot right in the middle of his face.

He has gained over 180k followers on Instagram and people just cant get enough!

His human momma, Lexi Smith, describes Wiley as “goofy, clumsy, sassy, hungry, cuddly, curious, wild, crazy, silly, happy love.”

Meet Danniel, everyone! The giant bovine, which weighs 2,300 pounds, is thought to be the world’s tallest and largest cow. His proud owners are from the Netherlands, and they’ve provided some fascinating insight into what it’s like to care for a cow the size of Danniel.

They estimate that the massive cow consumes 100 pounds of hay, 15 pounds of grain, drinks 100 gallons of water, and excretes 150 pounds of waste. And all of this happened in a single day. As you might expect, raising a cow like Danniel comes at a high price, but his owners say it’s all worth it.

 

 

They’re now attempting to have Danniel measured for Guinness World Records in the hopes of having him recognized as the world’s tallest bovine. If you ask me, the cow is more than deserving of this honor.

The massive Holstein steer stands at 6 feet 4 inches tall, which is taller than the average man. The footage of Danniel in the presence of humans is incredible! Also, when compared to other cows, the cow is a giant!

People have expressed an interest in visiting the Netherlands to see Danniel since images and videos of the massive cow began circulating online.
